The Recreation Advisory Committee met Nov. 19, 2018 in the municipal building.

Committee members in attendance included Frank McCullough, Mark Wilson, Patrick Jacoby and Kim Ringhoffer as well as Recreation Director Genny Baillie.

McCullough discussed the ongoing construction at Lindberg Park. He also noted his concern about a tree at Louise Lane Park that is on the verge of falling over and very dangerous.

Baillie updated the committee about the playground equipment at Devonshire Park which needs to be replaced. She said if the budget permits, it will be replaced in the spring.

She also discussed the community breakfast which was held Dec. 8, 2018, at Salisbury High School.

In new business, the committee briefly discussed the plans for 2019 including the annual Easter Egg hunt and the National Night Out community event. Discussions will continue at the next meeting.

The next regular Recreation Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled to be held 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at the municipal building.
