Salisbury at Jim Thorpe Tournament

The Salisbury wrestling team took ninth place at the Jim Thorpe Christmas Tournament on Dec. 29.

With just five wrestlers competing in the tournament, the Falcons had four place winners and two silver medalists at the event. They finished ninth out of 17 teams. Danville won the tournament with 221 points. Archbishop Ryan finished second at 190.5, followed by Crestwood (150) and the host Olympians (139.5) and Cedar Crest (136.5). Salisbury accumlated 82.5 points to finish behind Williams Valley (94) and above Norristown (77).

Nathaniel Natal (138) and Jonah Niesenbaum (220) both took second place in the tournament, while teammates Carver Moyer (fifth place at 106) and Ben Krause (sixth place at 160) also reached the final round of the tournament.
