Grade: 12
Family members: Melissa Moran (mother), Briahna Shuey (sister)
Favorite subject: My favorite subjects include science, especially those including health or medicine. I aspire to become a surgeon, so classes like anatomy interest me.
Activities: I am currently involved in the track and field team, diving and Photography Club.
Next steps: I plan to attend Temple University and get a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience.
Career goals: After undergraduate school, I plan to attend a medical school and become a surgeon, either pediatric or a neurosurgeon.
Heroes: My sole hero is my mother. My mom has sacrificed more than I could imagine to make sure I better myself and my education. Being a single mother is not easy, but she makes the most of it and I applaud and thank her for that.
Hobbies: I enjoy playing soccer, exploring and playing video games.
Current job(s): I work at Wegmans food market around 4-5 days a week.
Volunteer/community work: I do community service for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help raise funds for cancer research so one day I can say I helped find the cure for cancer.
Likes: I enjoy soccer, football, nature, chipotle and electronics.
Dislikes: I do not like sweet or green tea.
Greatest accomplishment (so far): Participating in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Student of the Year competition, where I raised over $11,000 in a six-week long campaign
Advice for peers: Don’t dwell in the past, and always think positive.
