Upper Macungie Twp Police

Upper Macungie Township police and the department’s bomb sniffing K-9, Toon, and his handler Ryan Rhoads responded 2:51 p.m. Dec. 18, 2018, for an explosive device threat at Lineage Logistic, 7132 Ruppsville Road, Upper Macungie Township.

This was the second time in less than two months for a bomb threat to be made at this location.

Employees were made aware of a handwritten note on a bathroom wall threatening the facility.

A sweep of critical areas within the facility was made by officers and K-9 Toon.

There was no indication an explosive ordnance was present with the search area, police say.

The facility was turned back over to employees.

Police say a 31-year-old man from the 200 block of Richard Drive reported a package was stolen around 3:30 a.m. Dec. 17, 2018, from the front step of his home.

This incident remains under investigation by police.

Police say a 68-year-old man from the 1400 block of Valley View Circle reported his mailbox was knocked from its post and smashed between 2:15-4 p.m. Dec. 12, 2018.
