Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association’s food bank, housed in the basement of borough hall, will be open to residents 8:30-10 a.m. Jan. 8.
Proof of residency is required.
The association is asking for food donations to fill the shelves at the pantry, noting there are no food drives during the winter.

The iconic Butch’s Log Cabin Tavern will reopen with a new name, Second Street Tavern, and ownership.
An orange sign at the North Second Street location indicates an application has been made with the appropriate state agencies for a liquor license.
