STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q. Who is in your family?

A. My dad Kevin, my mom Deb, my sisters Kristin, Katelyn, Kelsey and Sydney and my dogs Zoey and Max.

Q. What do you most enjoy about being a senior at Emmaus High School?

A. I enjoy being able to relax because I’ve achieved what I needed to for college.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. Math, because I think very logically and I enjoy working with numbers and equations.

Q. Have you received any special awards of recognition?

A. I received first place in the individual category for two consecutive years at the third and fourth annual Philadelphia University Architectural Design Competition. High school students from Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania participated.

Q. What are your favorite after school activities?

A. I’m not sure if this is considered an after school activity, but it would definitely be working at my job. I currently work and have been working at MKSD Architects since freshmen year.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My goal after high school would be receiving my bachelor’s degree in architecture and becoming a registered architect.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge to date would be enjoying myself in high school. I’ve known my career path since middle school and I have always been eager to get started on it.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered for?

A. I would like to be known for my sense of humor and the work ethic I bring to everything I do.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my dad for successfully running his own engineering business as I hope to do the same one day. I also admire my mom’s creativity which has definitely influenced my eye for design.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice to my peers is to take one day at a time. When looking at the big picture, high school is a fraction of one’s life, so relax, enjoy each day and don’t stress about tomorrow.
