The Upper Lehigh Lions Club is celebrating its 71st year with 62 members dedicated to serving the local community and some national and worldwide endeavors.
Recently, the club presented a check for $3,000 to the Center for Vision Loss to help screen children for eye issues and to assist with expenses of the organization.
The club donated $200 to Family Promise to help families who are homeless, decorated the township Christmas tree and sponsored a spaghetti supper to benefit the Schnecksville Fire Company kitchen rebuilding fund.
Club members are taking orders for hoagies which will be prepared and ready for pick up at the Schnecksville Fire Company after 3:30 p.m. Jan. 15, 2019.
Orders are due by Jan. 7, 2019. Call Lion Ruthann at 610-217-0333 to order hoagies.
Tuna is available, as are onions, peppers or plain.
The club will also have hoagie sales in February and March.

Young adults and college students will lead worship at Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, 10:30 a.m. Dec. 30.
The new year begins with faith commitment and communion at the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services on Jan. 6, 2019.

The Journeymen’s annual chicken potpie dinner is scheduled for 4:30-7 p.m. Jan. 12, 2019, at Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.
Save $2 on each meal by obtaining tickets in advance at the church office during normal business hours.
The buffet-style dinner will also include biscuits with honey butter, pickled cabbage, macaroni and cheese, applesauce, beverage, and dessert.
