Upper Macungie Township will host a Kids Noon Year’s Eve 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Dec. 30 at Good Will Volunteer Fire Company, 7723 Hamilton Blvd., Trexlertown.

This free event will have something fun to do for the entire family.

There will be a balloon drop at noon, Dazzling Doodles face painting, games, giveaways and DJ JJ Sands.

Light refreshments will be available for purchase.

Zion’s Union Church Maxatawny, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, is offering a family Christmas Eve service to celebrate the birth of Jesus with a specific focus for families and children 6 p.m. Dec. 24.

Holy Communion will add to the joy of this wondrous celebration.

The church’s traditional Christmas Eve candlelight service of Holy Communion will take place at 9 p.m.

The service will include singing familiar carols, the retelling of the story of the Jesus’ birth, Holy Communion and will end with a candlelight celebration of praise to Jesus.
