The building housing the Technology Center on the Lehigh Carbon Community College Schnecksville campus, which has been owned by LCCC ILP, an Allentown-based limited partnership, since it was constructed 15 years ago, was donated to the LCCC Foundation at a Dec. 14 ceremony.

The estimated value of the building is $10.7 million.

In December 2003, LCCC ILP entered into a ground lease with the college and agreed to construct a 47,560-square-foot building to house the technology center, which it then leased to the college for 15 years. It was agreed that at the end of the lease, LCCC ILP would donate the building to the college’s foundation.

Partners of LCCC ILP are Gregg and Cindy Feinberg, Tom and Destiny Salvaggio, Sean Boyle and Ken Duerholz.

The building was constructed by Boyle Construction, Inc.

“This is a great example of how a public-private partnership can provide first class facilities to public institutions,” said Gregg Feinberg, managing partner of LCCC ILP.

“In addition to constructing the building, the partnership funded a lounge for the students and provided three scholarships annually to worthy students for the past 15 years. It has been a pleasure working with the college, and we wish them the best in their future use of the Technology Center,” Feinberg said.

Dr. Ann D. Bieber, president of the college, said, “The Technology Center building is at the center of campus and houses numerous classrooms, serving students in majors ranging from TV and film to computer science to manufacturing. We appreciate the partnership that we have had with LCCC ILP, which ultimately has benefited our students.”
