Dec. 1

Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus, community Christmas dinner 4 p.m. Bethel Church will offer a free full-course turkey dinner with all the trimmings in the family center gymnasium. Members of the church family will cook the meal, host tables, serve as table servers and deliver a short Christmas program. They will sing Christmas carols and there will be door prizes for adults and a special program and gifts for children. Anyone from the community is invited to join them in celebrating the birth of our Savior over a wonderful meal. Call 610-965-2682 or email bethel@bethelbfc.org for reservations. Seating is limited. The snow date is Dec. 2.

Emmaus will celebrate its annual Old Fashioned Christmas 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Many of the activities, coordinated by the Emmaus Main Street Partners, take place at Triangle Park. Among the activities there is an Emmaus business window and door décor contest, pictures with Santa Claus, a Holiday Cheers Trail (must be 21 to purchase tickets), trolley rides (small fee) and a tree lighting ceremony. Advent worship service 7 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2623 Brookside Road, Macungie. Also Dec. 12 and 19. An Advent supper will be served 6 p.m. prior to the service. For more information, call 610-965-3265.

Dec. 6

Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon at St. Timothy Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. The Lehigh Valley Pops Orchestra will perform. Non-members and guests are welcome. Bring a non-perishable food item for the Allentown Food Bank. For more information, call 610-437-4265.

Dec. 8

Cookie-Candy Walk 8 a.m. to noon at Old Zionsville United Church of Christ, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville. Pre-order cut out cookies (vanilla/chocolate) or chocolate covered cherries (milk and dark chocolate) by Nov. 28. Call the office at 610-966-3601 or Darlene at 610-966-5115.

Fourth annual community breakfast for Salisbury residents 9 to 11 a.m. hosted by Salisbury Township School District and Salisbury Township. The League of Women Voters of Lehigh County will host “The State of Lehigh County” program at the Superior Restaurant, Emmaus, 11:30 a.m. Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong will present.
