An unknown person gained entry into a box truck on a construction site in the 4500 block of Main Road West, Upper Milford Township and removed tools valued at approximately $5,000 between 4:05 p.m. Oct. 30 and 7:15 a.m. Oct. 31. An unknown person allegedly removed five dehumidifiers, valued at approximately $1,000 total, from a construction site in the 4200 block of Indian Creek Road, Upper Milford Township, between Oct. 23 and Nov. 3. The theft was reported by Kay Builders.
George Thomas Dawson Jr., 35, of Temple, was taken into custody for retail theft after he allegedly was observed concealing and under ringing items at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:26 p.m. Oct. 29, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Dawson also allegedly was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to police.
Yamilly Janette Ortiz-Velazquez, 33, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly removed $170.50 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:56 p.m. Nov. 2. According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, Ortiz-Velazquez was observed scanning only a portion of the merchandise she took through a self-checkout aisle. After making a valid purchase, Ortiz-Velazquez allegedly exited Walmart, making no attempt to pay for the rest of the merchandise, according to police.
An unknown person removed four Louisville Slugger baseball bats, one jacket and one hat, with a total value of $2,017.96, from Dick’s Sporting Goods, 707 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:47 p.m. Oct. 18.
Two unknown males entered Hobby Lobby, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township and were observed removing 83 bottles of spray paint 12:24 p.m. Oct. 9.
A 19-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on State Avenue at Elm Street, Emmaus borough, 1:09 a.m. Oct. 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Bradley David Brown, 37, of Allentown, allegedly was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the same incident, according to police.
A 27-year-old male, of Zionsville, was taken into custody for driving under the influence after Pennsylvania State Police responded to a disabled vehicle in the 7900 block of Corning Road, Upper Milford Township, 1:38 a.m. Nov. 3.
