Woman’s Club of Whitehall has named Samantha Ganser as the Girl of the Month for October.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Ganser, of Whitehall.

Ganser has received high honor roll all marking periods during her time at Whitehall High School.

She is a member of Science Olympiad, president; Leo Club, vice president; SERVE Club; and Scholastic Scrimmage. Ganser has received more than 20 Science Olympiad medals at invitational, regional and state levels.

She belongs to National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and the science, English and Spanish honor societies. She was also one of 15 finalists for the American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation program.

Ganser volunteers at Camelot for Children and Da Vinci Science Center. She is a member of Whitehall Township Public Library Teen Advisory Board and is active in church activities. She also works part time.

Ganser plans to study biochemistry to become a medical researcher. She is considering Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania and Lafayette College.
