The Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, 2158 Ave. C, Suite 201, Bethlehem, has launched its 2018 Holiday Hope Chests program: Happiness in a Shoe Box.

This year there are 35 nonprofit organizations that have put in a total request for 7,500 shoeboxes.

The Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley’s goal is to meet their needs.

Help is needed to wrap and fill 7,500 shoeboxes. Every shoebox benefits a child in the Lehigh Valley.

· Complete a 2018 Donor Pledge Form. To see a list of agencies receiving the shoeboxes, visit their website.

· The Volunteer Center will send gift tags with the ages and genders of the children for the shoeboxes. They directly match the requests of the nonprofits.

· Download a detailed listing of suggested gift items for the boxes from the website.

· Drop off wrapped, filled Holiday Hope Chests on the designated day and time you indicated.

The Volunteer Center will confirm in advance the totals and drop-off location details.
