Hokendauqua: Nov. 16 meeting planned for Communities That Care group

The Communities That Care group will meet 8:30 a.m. Nov. 16 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road.

Come out Nov. 18 and enjoy a designer handbag bingo - featuring Vera Bradley, Coach and Michael Kors purses - at American Club of Coplay, 300 Cherry St. Doors open noon, and bingo starts 2 p.m.

There will be 20 regular games. Specials, a tricky tray, Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle will also be available for a cost.

Tickets for the bingo are $5 cheaper in advance.

All proceeds from the event, organized by Hokendauqua Legion Knee-Hi Athletic Association, will benefit the youth sports programs.

There will be a Miller-Keystone Blood Center blood drive at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church 4-7 p.m. Nov. 19.

A Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative community meal will be held at Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St., Nov. 20.

The free meal is guaranteed for the first 100 guests and will be served 4-6 p.m.

During the 10:30 a.m. worship service Dec. 16, Faith’s Sunday school classes will present “The Christmas Carol - Special Report,” a Simple Plus program celebrating Christmas carols around the world.
