American Club of Coplay holds picnic

The American Club of Coplay’s 55th annual family picnic was held Sept. 8 at the club’s pavilion and grounds, 300 Cherry St.

The event included a midway filled with a variety of food stands, so everyone could find something to their liking.

The family-style picnic provided guests with bottomless food choices, including pierogies, cabbage and noodles, halupki, hamburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes, potato pancakes, pizza, clam chowder, ham sandwiches, barbecue, fresh fruit cups, french fries, meatball sandwiches and turkey sandwiches. Guests were encouraged to come back as often as needed until they were full.

A deejay entertained the crowd during the day, and the Brian Dean Moore Band performed at night.

Pony rides, train rides, face painting and inflatable bounce structures were available for the children to enjoy.

Golf carts were used to transport the people who had to park their vehicles on the outer reaches of the pavilion.
