Jacob’s Church, Route 143, Jacksonville, Lynn Township, will have its annual oyster supper 3-7 p.m. Nov. 3 in the activity center, which is handicapped accessible.

The menu includes fried oyster platters, fried shrimp platters, steamed shrimp, raw oysters, oyster stew, oyster pie, fresh cut fries, turkey barbecue, and pepper cabbage.

For dessert, choose from cakes or pies, including old-fashion lemon strip, coconut cream and fruit pies.

Lynnport Fire Company, Behler Street, Lynnport, is hosting its annual turkey raffle at 6 p.m. Nov. 16.

Fifty turkeys will be given away.

Winners can pick up the turkeys 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 17 at the fire station.

Tickets are needed for the open-faced turkey platter. (No takeouts).

Menu includes hamburger or turkey barbecue and hot dogs.

Tickets also may be purchased night of the raffle.

It’s a new program of tutoring, homework help, materials and resources provided for projects to families in the community.
