LETTERs TO THE EDITOR

Dear Editor,

Marty Nothstein is a champion; a gold medal cyclist in the 2000 Olympic Games.

As a person, he has internalized the discipline, hard work, hardship and rigorous resolve that are fundamental in the success and victory for achieving one’s goals in life.

All of these attributes aside, Nothstein has also succeeded as a leader at the nonprofit Valley Preferred Cycling Center, wherein he distinguished himself improving the organization’s finances and expanding its community outreach goals.

Equally impressive is Marty’s success in his very own entrepreneurship, as the owner, manager and operator of a family farm small business.

At this juncture in his successful life’s journey, Nothstein wishes to share his many blessings and talents with his community, in a public servant capacity; as such, he is running for representative of the new 7th Congressional District.

Notably, unlike his opponent, Marty does not plan to be a career politician. In fact, as a political “outsider” and, perhaps, as a thoroughbred Olympic medalist, he not only supports terms limits for members of Congress, but also, as stated on his website, he believes that “every race needs a finish line…” Accordingly, he has pledged to hold himself up to the 8-year term limit.

Knowing Marty Nothstein as a county commissioner of the highest standards, I’m convinced he is the “political outsider” we urgently need to represent the new 7th District. His impeccable records attest that he is thoroughly qualified to work and serve our community.

Accordingly, my wife and I will be voting for Marty Nothstein on the following manner: to the new 7th Congressional District and also to fill the open-seat that was left in the 15th Congressional District.

Please join us to elect a proven winner to represent us in Washington, D.C.
