Senior Expo 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center, 3450 Brookside Road, Macungie, hosted by state Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th. The event is free and open to the public. “Rest In Peace: An Autumn Afternoon Cemetery Walking Tour,” led by historian Joshua Arthur Fink, 1:30 p.m. at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. The walk will begin in the historic sanctuary of the church and then proceed out onto the Old and New Cemeteries. Participants will view the oldest tombstone on the cemetery that can still be read (and the oldest tombstone on any Lutheran or Reformed Cemetery in Lehigh County), as well as visit the site of Indian burials and the final resting places of several members of the Bogert family, who lived nearby at the Bogert Homestead (Hunter’s Cabin) and Farms at Bogert’s Bridge. In addition, the tour will explore the graves of those who died unusual deaths, from disease, accident… and even murder! Rain or shine.
