Richard Forrest Curley, 70, of East Greenville, was taken into custody for simple assault by physical menace and terroristic threats after he allegedly made threats to shoot any law enforcement officer who responded to his residence in the 9300 block of Landis Lane, Lower Milford Township, 3:34 p.m. Oct. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 21-year-old male, of Emmaus, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop on Cedar Crest Boulevard at Riverbend Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:26 a.m. Sept. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 23-year-old driver, of Emmaus and his passenger face charges after their vehicle was stopped in a DUI checkpoint at Lower Macungie Road and Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 11:59 p.m. Aug. 31. The driver was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, in possession of marijuana, THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) oil, prescription medication and drug paraphernalia. A 21-year-old male, also of Emmaus and a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of four ounces of marijuana, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 30-year-old male, of Emmaus, was found to be operating a vehicle while under the influence of marijuana after a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road at Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 2:11 a.m. Sept. 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver also was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and careless driving. A 24-year-old male, also of Emmaus, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the same incident.
A 23-year-old driver, of Mertztown, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence and related charges after she lost control of her Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and struck a tree in the 8400 block of Mountain Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:54 a.m. Sept. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver sustained a minor injury in the collision and was evaluated at the scene by Macungie EMS but refused further medical treatment.
Efrain Rodriguez-Pacheco, 44, of Allentown, and Danny Rivas-Vazquez, 32, of Allentown, were taken into custody and charged with alleged drug violations after Pennsylvania State Police responded to the parking lot at Wawa, Route 100 and Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 8:28 a.m. Aug. 28. Troopers responded to the lot for a welfare check. According to state police, alleged drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle and false identification was provided at the scene. Rivas-Vazquez, who allegedly was inside the vehicle, had active warrants and allegedly attempted to run from the scene. Rodriguez-Pacheco was charged with alleged use or possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. Rivas-Vazquez was charged with allegedly resisting arrest, false identification to law enforcement and disorderly conduct and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
