Programs being offered

Cancer

The Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley is offering the following free education and support programs for cancer patients and their caregivers at the Cancer Support Community 944 Marcon Blvd., Suite 110, Allentown.

·Frankly Speaking About: Bone Health 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 26. What will treatment do to your bones? What warning signs indicate osteoporosis?

Speaker will be Dr. Richard Lackman, chief of Orthopedic Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

·Yamuna Body Rolling 10:45 a.m. to noon Oct. 31 and Nov. 14 and 28. Specialized balls help create specific positions to elongate and tone muscles and align joints.

These programs are offered free to people affected by cancer.

Asbury

The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile will be at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall, accepting blood donations between 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 28.
