Lehigh University

Lehigh University College of Education will hold a fall information session from 4 to 6 p.m. October 23 at Iacocca Hall, Wood Dining Hall, Mountaintop.

Meet the faculty and ask questions about both campus and online college degree programs, admissions, financial aid and future career. Tuition scholarships covering the difference between Lehigh’s tuition and the state rate are available for eligible district employees.

Lehigh University’s Financial Aid Community Night will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Admissions Theater.

The session will be provide high school students and families with an understanding of the college financial aid process at Lehigh University.

Northampton Community College

A delegation of five professional Ukrainian educators, directors, and specialists and bicultural facilitators, and an interpreter representing the Open World Leadership Center is visiting Bethlehem from October 12 through 20, 2018. The group is hosted by Northampton Community College and the Center for Global Education and International Services and are staying with local residents.

The exchange program promotes mutually beneficial options for depolarized engagement between future national leaders. Locally, they are also collaborating on best practices for Community College/vocational education.

Finger-Picking Guitar Class

The Luthier program at Northampton Community College’s Fab Lab helps students learn to play the instruments that they have built or are planning to build.

The class will cover the basics of finger style guitar, playing melody with chords, blues techniques, folk, Travis, classical styles and basic patterns for accompanying. There is a fee.
