Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is celebrating Ottertoberfest Oct. 13 featuring 20 local gourmet food and craft vendors.

There will also be activities and crafts for children, live German music courtesy of the Happy Dutchman German Band from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and interactive exhibits.

Stop by the pumpkin patch and pick up a pumpkin to decorate.

Guests age 21 and older can enjoy sipping a craft beer.

Tour the kangaroo walkabout, feed the lorikeets or brush the goats during the goat experience.

The zoo will be celebrating Bean-Nanza International Sloth Day Oct. 14.

Bean, the zoo’s resident sloth, will be on exhibit from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the exercise yard for a meet and greet.

Boo at the Zoo will be held Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28. Wear costumes and trick or treat throughout the zoo.

There will be a variety of candy and treat stations, craft and activity tables, vendors and music from noon to 2 p.m. each day courtesy of DJ Ray from Fling-A-Things.

There will also be a fun line up of interactive experiences including spooky animal mingles.
