Coplay Public Library will have its autumn book and bake sale 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 12 and 13.

The library will close 6 p.m. Oct. 16 for the community Halloween parade.

Coplay Borough’s Halloween parade is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 16.

The parade is sponsored by Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association.

According to Rick Hess, the association’s president, road work at Chestnut and Second streets will be completed and will not affect the parade route.

The parade will most likely include four divisions, each with music. The Whitehall High School Marching Zephyr Band will again be in the first division. Returning are the East Hills Middle School band from the Bethlehem Area School District, the Rajah Shrine Oriental Band and the Wind Gap Blue Eagles Drum and Bugle Corps, among others.

Numerous youth Scouting, athletic teams, cheerleaders, church groups and other performers will round out the parade.

Rain date is Oct. 23.

Coplay Saengerbund will hold a post-parade reception at its pavilion for parade participants.
