An unknown individual called a resident in the 1600 block of Trexlertown Road, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 24 and persuaded the Lower Macungie Township resident to purchase $2,000 in Target gift cards to pay money the caller said was owed, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

The front windshield of a vehicle was cracked while parked at Costco Wholesale, 791 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:30 p.m. Aug. 24.

An unknown individual broke the rear window of a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Winthrop Way, Lower Macungie Township, overnight Aug. 10.

An unknown individual keyed the passenger side door of a vehicle while parked at Whole Foods Market, 750 N. Krocks Road #301, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 31.

Unknown individuals damaged the garage door of a residence in the 6600 block of Rutherford Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between Sept. 7 and 17.

Unknown individuals damaged the front passenger side window of a vehicle in the 5100 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, Sept. 17.

Drug possession

A 14-year-old male was found to possess a small amount of suspected marijuana after Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville pursued a group of youths in the 2000 block of Sequoia Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 11:35 p.m. Aug. 5. The marijuana was seized and the teen was taken home.

An 18-year-old male, of New Jersey, was taken into custody for possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop on Interstate 78 East and Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 8:31 p.m. Aug. 29, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A Coplay man faces charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic stop on Brookside Road at Indian Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:59 a.m. Sept. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Peter Joseph Carman, 31, of Breinigsville, was taken into custody for allegedly removing a backpack from an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of Giant Food Stores, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 8:45 a.m. Aug. 9. Carman also allegedly admitted to removing items from a vehicle Aug. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Unknown individuals entered several unlocked vehicles in the 2000 block of Fieldview Drive and the 3000 block of Sequoia Drive, Lower Macungie Township, overnight Aug. 14 and removed items.

Unknown individuals entered several unlocked vehicles parked in driveways at residences along Crane Crossing, Iron Drive, Furman Drive and Vista Drive, Lower Macungie Township, overnight Sept. 6. Various items, including cash, were removed from the vehicles.

Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville conducted a sobriety checkpoint 10 p.m. Aug. 31 to 3 a.m. Sept. 1 along Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township.

Police stopped 114 motorists, made six arrests for driving under the influence, two drug arrests and issued six summary traffic citations.

A 16-year-old male, no address given, an 18-year-old male, of Allentown and a 20-year-old male, also of Allentown, were charged with receiving stolen property and fleeing police after Pennsylvania State Police troopers attempted a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road at Wild Cherry Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 12:22 a.m. Aug. 10. Troopers pursued the males through Lower Macungie Township, Emmaus borough and Allentown City. The pursuit ended in a vehicle crash and the vehicle was determined to be stolen, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 35-year-old male, of Macungie, escaped injury when his vehicle overturned twice along Kings Highway South at James Lane, Lower Milford Township, 10:47 p.m. Aug. 31. According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, the driver was northbound when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle struck an embankment and overturned onto its left side before returning to the road and overturning a second time. The driver was helped from his car by police.

An Indiana driver faces charges after his Freightliner truck struck a building before hitting and dragging a concrete barrier onto a lawn on Mountain Road, Lower Macungie Township, July 19. According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, the driver was turning west onto Mountain Road from Schoeneck Road when the truck struck the building and barrier. The truck continued from the crash scene about 10 miles, dragging the concrete barrier to an intersection in Hereford Township, damaging the roadway, and continued into Washington Township, according to police.

A 44-year-old male, of Lower Macungie Township, grabbed and pushed another person in the 5500 block of Wedge Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 3:21 a.m. Aug. 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 69-year-old male, of East Greenville, is charged with driving under the influence after a vehicle crash on East Mill Road at Orchard Road, Lower Milford Township, 6:15 p.m. Sept. 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 30-year-old male, of Kutztown, was taken into custody for driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Hamilton Boulevard at Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:51 a.m. Aug. 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 22-year-old male, of Palm, was placed under arrest for driving under the influence after a traffic stop for speeding at the intersection of Saint Peters Road and Miller Drive, Upper Milford Township, 1:49 a.m. Aug. 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
