As September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Salisbury High School Football team decided to join the Touchdowns Against Cancer program, along with many other schools across the country, to raise money to support St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
The team asked community members to make a pledge to support this cause. Community members could either place a pledge on each touchdown scored between Sept. 8 through 30 or donate a flat rate.
All donations are tax deductible.
At the end of the campaign, all money raised from the pledges will be donated.
The Falcons have raised $900 of their $1,000 goal.
To pledge or for more information, visit https://pledgeit.org/tac18-allentown-pa-salisbury-township-falcons.
Pledges can be made until Oct. 5.
