At the Lower Milford Township Supervisors meeting Sept. 20, Assistant Township Manager Zach Cooperman, estimated one more month of work is needed to repair reported damages caused by flooding the weekend of Aug. 11.

Snovitch voiced his satisfaction with the progress.

“Everything is on schedule, the road crew has everything under control.”

Cooperman noted the majority of the roads within the township are now safely passable.

The board also noted the position of library representative remains vacant. Residents interested in applying for the position should call the township building. Additionally, the state police will begin sending two cruisers to Lower Milford at the end of this month to monitor excessive speeding throughout the township.

Solicitor Mark Cappuccio brought attention to a zoning hearing appeal involving a “Bitcoin business” which has applied to house computers at 7598 Chestnut Hill Church Road. Only one or two employees are expected to be physically present at the site. No regular deliveries, sales or inventory are expected to be on site.

“It would be considered a non-nuisance industry application under agriculture conservation, but if you have that many computers, you have to have heavy duty air conditioning systems,” Cappuccio said. “I think the description of non-nuisance industry is too general. It says you can’t have smoke or dust, excessive noise or vibration. This is too open and as it stands it accepts a wide variety of proposals which I don’t believe was the intent of what we anticipated for an agriculture conservation district.”

Wright suggested a representative attend the upcoming zoning hearing board meeting. The board agreed to send a representative to the next meeting to gather more information on details of the project and its implications for the township.
