Lehigh Valley Health Network’s free standard and sensory friendly Second Saturday Kids Movie Series will open with “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” 10:30 a.m. Oct. 13 in the Red (standard film) and Blue (sensory friendly) Cinemas, Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas, Arts Quest, 101 Founders Way. The series continues with Cinderella (1950) Nov. 10 and Polar Express Dec. 8; free reserved tickets are required.

Sensory Friendly screenings are specifically designed for children and adults living with autism. Talking and walking are permitted, while stimming (self-regulation behavior) is encouraged. The theater’s house lights are dimmed but remain on, the film volume is lowered and previews are eliminated. Families with special dietary needs can bring food from home.
