Hokendauqua Chapter of Trout Unlimited
The Hokendauqua Chapter of Trout Unlimited is hosting the third annual ladies fly fishing educational instruction event Oct. 13.
Check-in begins 8 a.m., and the program starts 9 a.m.
There is no cost.
Women, age 18 and older, will be given instruction on fly fishing equipment, how to cast, tie a fly pattern and more.
You may bring your own equipment or use the equipment provided.
Keep in mind you will be outside fishing on moist grass, so dress appropriately. Make sure you bring a wide brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunblock and a camp chair. Please no flip-flops or heeled shoes.
A continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
There is a limit to 30 participants.
Rain date is Oct. 14.
Directions to the pond: Take Route 309 South and turn left on Passer Road. Make a left onto Suter Road and then a right onto Flint Hill Road. After about a mile, look for a group of mailboxes on the left. Find mailbox marked 2288. The access to the Saks’ property is on the right.
