Karol takes third at CL tournament

The Salisbury golf team competed in Monday’s Colonial League Championship Meet at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course.

The Falcons’ Ashley Karol took third place in the girls field with a round of 107, while Tanner Ruth led the Salisbury boys contingent with a 99, which garnered a tie for 42nd place. Teammate Alex Suter shot 108 on the par-72 layout.

Moravian Academy was the big winner at the event. David Koch shot 83 and beat Lions teammate Will McKay on the second playoff hole to take this year’s title. Grace Sanborn shot 90 for first place in the girls tournament. And the Lions shot 425 as a team to capture the team title over second-place Southern Lehigh (436).
