Band

The Allentown Band, under the direction of conductor Ronald Demkee, will perform 4 p.m. Sept. 30 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 5th and Walnut Streets, Allentown.

Allentown Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Trumpet Omri Barak will be the featured soloist performing the “Arutiuinian Trumpet Concerto.”

Eric Gombert, organist at St. John’s, will join the band on Polka and Fugue from “Schwanda the Bagpiper,” Jaromir Weinberger; Mannin Veen “Dear Isle of Man” A Manx Tone Poem, Haydn Wood and the Finale from Symphony No. 3 (organ symphony) by Camille Saint-Saens.

Tickets are not needed to attend. A freewill offering will be taken.
