Mark your calendar! On Sept. 22, everyone is invited to participate in the first Heidelberg 5K Run/Walk, held rain or shine, at Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Road, Heidelberg Township.

Registration and number pickup starts at 8 a.m. with the 5K Run/Walk starting at 9 a.m.

Come out and support local charities and enjoy the fall foliage and scenery.

In addition to instant results and awards, this event will have food from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Calling all women! Heidelberg Church’s Women of Faith group welcomes women of all ages to join them at their next covered dish planning meeting 1 p.m. Sept. 24 in fellowship hall.

This energetic group will be working on place-mats for area nursing homes.

Bring a friend or two, along with a favorite dish to share, and stay for an afternoon of food, fun and fellowship.

Blast from the past! Heidelberg Association for Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., will meet 11 a.m. at Heidelberg Church Oct. 2 to take a day trip to the Preservation Plus and More Museum, Allentown.

This fascinating museum provides visitors of all ages a glimpse of historic farm and garden equipment up close and personal.
