Sept. 19

Alburtis Area 55+ seniors meet noon at the Alburtis Gun Club, 3818 Gun Club Road, Alburtis. Hot dogs are served with a pot luck luncheon. Seniors play bingo following lunch. Many bus trips are planned; for more information, call 610-966-4996.

Sept. 22

Fishing and fun in the park 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Little Lehigh Park, 1600 Park Drive, Allentown. No license or pole are needed. Activities include fishing (two fish per person), casting instructions for beginners, arts and crafts, demonstrations and a family friendly food truck. Register at www.lvcil.org/fishing.

Herbein’s Garden Center Fall Fest and Craft Fair fundraiser 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Event will be held at the garden center, 4301 Chestnut St., Emmaus. Fall fest will include a pumpkin painting contest, food, raffles, music, face painting, vendors, special appearances by Chase from Paw Patrol and Doc McStuffins and seminars. Event will benefit the Lehigh County Humane Society. Fall Fest and Craft Fair will also be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 23.

Sept. 23

Fundraiser “Pies and Pints” 4 to 7 p.m. at the 1803 House, 55 S. Keystone Ave., Emmaus. Switchback will fire up the brick oven at the 1803 House for all-you-can-eat pizza and salad as well as a sneak preview of their hard cider. Funk Brewing Company will provide beer served in a commemorative 1803 House glass. Russ Rentler will provide music. The donation will include a raffle ticket for the basket raffle. The Emmaus Garden Club will meet noon at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus. The program will be “Make your own Bookmark with Pressed Flowers” with Linda Conrad who is a pressed flower artist with 25 years experience. She has both entered and judged the Philadelphia Flower Show Pressed Plant competition. Her presentation and workshop will teach attendees how to create special bookmarks using their own pressed flowers or those provided by her. She will also have artwork using dried flowers for sale. Father-Daughter Dance for girls ages four to 12, 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Community Center, 3450 Brookside Road, Macungie. Pre-registration is limited to 50 couples. Register at Lower Macungie Community Center. This year’s theme is Butterfly Kisses. Wear your favorite party dress. Artist David Lee will be the guest presenter at the 7 p.m. meeting of the Parkland Art League at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 6667 Lower Macungie Road, Trexlertown. Lee is a well-known watercolorist in the area, having received many awards for his paintings.

Oct. 10

Emmaus Historical Society chicken dinner, 5 to 6:30 p.m. prior to the October program at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, Fifth and Chestnut streets, Emmaus. The program is “On My Honor” – the history of Boy Scout Troops in Emmaus. There is a charge for the dinner and tickets must be purchased in advance.
