Catasauqua: Church hosts bingo

Bingo is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road. Doors open 5:30 p.m.

There will be 20 games as well as gift card bingo and 50/50 coverall for those interested.

In addition to the bingo, there will be a tricky tray.

The kitchen will be open.

Tickets are available at the door or at the church office during office hours, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays-Fridays.

Please join the Catasauqua Lions Club bingo and lunch held 1 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Slovak Center Social Club, 1223 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.

Doors open 12:30 p.m.

Only 100 tickets will be sold for this event. For tickets and information, call Joe at 610-264-4130.

This Lions Club fundraiser will help raise money for vision needs, senior holiday meal, children’s Christmas shopping spree and more.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will be holding its fall craft fair Oct. 6, and organizers are in need of craft vendors.

Interested crafters can obtain an application at the church office between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Mondays-Fridays or by calling 610-266-4287.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., has been closed since Sept. 17 for cleaning and to change the clothing from summer to fall and winter.

The shop reopens Sept. 20 with all new clothing. Please stop in and see all the new items.

Donations of used, clean clothing are gratefully accepted during store operation hours, which are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Proceeds from the thrift shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

Note to all - The Catasauqua American Legion Home Association ladies group has disbanded.

Members would like to thank all of their patrons who supported the breakfasts, dinners, dances and other events, which gave them the funds to help veterans, citizens and other community organizations with their needs!
