Hawks hand Parkland second loss; Whitehall picks up first win

Bethlehem Catholic-Parkland

The Hawks came back from an early 13-0 deficit to beat Parkland 24-16.

Bethlehem Catholic (3-1) outscored the Trojans 17-0 in the second half and 24-3 in the final three quarters. The Trojans (2-2) only points after the first quarter was a 48-yard field goal by Devin Bartholomew late in the first half.

Nicholas Lucien (4 receptions, 155 yards) caught a pair of touchdown catches for the Hawks, while Paul Carreras (3 carries, 73 yards) ran for the other score.

Zamar Brake completed 11 of 17 passes for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Parkland’s Isaiah Rico had 54 yards on 10 carries.

Northampton-East Stroudsburg North

The Konkrete Kids won their third straight game in shutout fashion, beating East Stroudsburg North 50-0.

Aiden Jones ran for 77 yards and a touchdown on five carries, while teammate Tyrese Brandon had a pair of touchdowns and 26 yards on five rushes for Northampton. Cameron Eaton completed four of nine passes for 104 yards, including a touchdown pass to Ethan Deater (3 catches, 97 yards).

Anthony Johnson had 70 yards rushing on 18 carries for the Timbewolves (0-4).

Central Catholic-Whitehall

The Zephyr offense erupted for a 75-35 win over Central Catholic.

Joseph Herman caught three touchdown passes while racking up 177 receiving yards on just three receptions for Whitehall (1-3). Quarterback Anthony Nanoah completed six of seven passes for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Jacob Heffner complete his only pass of the game for a 64-yard touchdown.

Shavar Hussett ran for 90 yards and a pair of touchdown for Whitehall. Ali Barkley added 39 yards on the ground and two touchdowns, while Allen Negrete ran the ball once for a 36-yard score.

Logan Bacnman ran for 147 yards and a touchdown for Central Catholic, while Matt Rauscher ran for 32 yards and a score while completing two of three passes for the Vikes (2-2).

Emmaus-Pleasant Valley

The Hornets remained unbeaten with a 56-0 win over Pleasant Valley.

Emmaus’ Ethan Parvel (8-for-9, 144 yards) threw three touchdown passes in the game, while Isaiah McPherson caught four passes for 80 yards and two scores. Cameron Brooks caught a touchdown pass.

Easton-Liberty

The Red Rover remained unbeaten with a 28-21 win over Liberty.

The Hurricanes fall to 2-2 with the loss.

Freedom-Nazareth

The Patriots improved to 5-0 with a win over Nazareth.

The Blue Eagles fall to 1-3 with the loss.

Wilson-Northwestern

The Tigers bounced back from their first loss of the season with a 31-14 win over Wilson.

Deven Bollinger threw two touchdown passes and ran for one score. Derek Holmes (4 catches, 69 yards) was the recipient of both touchdown passes. Tyler Lobach also ran for a touchdown in the game for Northwestern (3-1).

Connor de Wit made all four Tiger extra points while also convertin a 27-yard field goal in the win.

Northwestern held Wilson (0-4) to just 68 yards of offense.

Saucon Valley-Salisbury

The Panthers remained undefeated with a 41-27 win over Salisbury.

Ian Csicsek rand for 280 yards on 25 carries and got to the end zone four times in the game. He also caught a pair of passes for 38 yards as Saucon Valley (4-0) rushed for 444 and had 507 yards of offense. Dante Mahaffey ran for 105 yards for the Panthers, while completing five of 11 pass attempts for 81 yards.

Salisbury’s Jacob Kamp completed six of 12 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 120 yards and a touchdown. Timothy Buda ran for 76 yards and a pair of Salisbury (1-3) scores. He also caught three passes for 70 yards and a TD.

Palisades-Catasauqua

The Pirates beat Catasauqua 54-22.

Palisades’ Trey Gretzinger ran for 159 yards and three touchdowns on five carries. Ethan Brader racked up 113 yards and three scores on nine carries for the Pirates (4-0).

The Rough Riders (0-4) were led by Wil-Quon Clemons (8 carries, 93 yards, 2 TD) and Andrew Martinez (14 carries, 91 yards, TD)
