Upper Macungie Township and The Nanny Loft will be offering a one-day Safesitter Essentials course with CPR 9:30-4 p.m. Sept. 30.
Class content includes safety, child care, fire aid and rescue skills and life and business skills.

The Teen Anime Club will meet to chat about the latest manga series and munch on Japanese snacks 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 19.
Kids ages 8-12 come and join the library’s new Young Critics Book Club to discuss the novel “The Wild Robot by Peter Brown 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20.
The library will be hosting a drop-in teen karaoke night 6:30 p.m. Sept. 24 in the meeting room at the South Whitehall Township Building.
All these programs are free and held at the library except for teen karaoke night.
Registration is needed to attend senior yoga, the Pa. Dutch talk, movie, book clubs, caregiver talk, cupcake wars and developmental screenings.

The Mission Team at Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will be having its annual shrimp boil 4-6 p.m. Sept. 16.
Menu includes salad, half-pound of shrimp (quarter-pound for children), sausage, potatoes, corn, drink and a dessert.

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, will be kicking off the new Sunday School year with Rally Day starting 9 a.m. Sept. 16.
Harvest Home Sunday at the church is scheduled for Sept. 23.
Canned goods and produce need to be at the church by 9 a.m. on Sept. 22.
