Northampton: Railroad station open to visitors
Siegfried Railroad Station, home of the Northampton Area Historical Society, will be open to visitors 1-4 p.m. Sept. 16. The station is located on West 21st Street (Route 329).
The station is a museum housing artifacts of Northampton and the surrounding area. This year, the society is highlighting the second ward of Northampton. Artifacts from businesses of the second ward are on display at the station.
The society will have its fall garage sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 29 at the station.
The society is accepting donations from the public for its garage sale. Donations will be accepted at the station 6-8 p.m. Sept. 27 and 28.
Anyone wishing to help with the sale on these evenings or on the day of the sale is asked to call 610-262-8198.
Don’t forget to pick up your pre-ordered mums 8-11 a.m. that morning. They will be available for pickup until 11 a.m.
There will be extra mums available for sale.

Northampton Area Food Bank’s annual penny party will be held Sept. 23 at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville.
Doors open 1:30 p.m. The games begin 2 p.m.
Refreshments will be available, and a raffle and bake sale are also planned.
Proceeds benefit the needy in the Northampton Area School District and surrounding areas.

Halloween Wheels on the Canal will be held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 27 at Canal Street Park.
Rain date is Nov. 3.
The car show is open to all vehicles. Event organizers are seeking independent sales vendors, craft vendors and food vendors to participate.
There is a registration fee.
All vendors must be preregistered.
Vehicles can either preregister or register at the event. Registration begins 8 a.m.
Other highlights of the day include a basket raffle, deejay and a toy collection to benefit Toys for Tots.
This is a not-for-profit event with all proceeds going to help veterans. All proceeds will be split between Mission 22 and Blue Star Mothers of America, Lehigh Valley Chapter No. 201.
