Coplay Public Library, 49 S. Fifth St., will show “The Cowboys,” featuring John Wayne, starting 1 p.m. Sept. 15.
This is part of the library’s Free Movie Saturday program.

St. Peter Roman Catholic Church will have its annual chicken paprikash and ham dinner 4-7 p.m. Sept. 15 at the church social hall, 4 S. Fifth St.
The dinner, which includes refreshments and dessert, is open to the public.

Coplay American Legion Stanley W. Reinhard Jr. Post 426 will host a meeting for the baseball committee 2 p.m. Sept. 16 at the post, 134 S. Second St.

The Coplay 150th anniversary committee has its own version of the traditional Monopoly board game called “Copolopoly.”
This Coplay-themed board game features local businesses, organizations and public places.
The game comes with a board, property cards, Community Chest and Chance cards, hotels, houses, six pewter game tokens, money and a game booklet. Plans are to have them available by December.

The borough would like to remind residents that grass clippings should not be blown into the streets.
On a related note, now that leaves are going to be falling from the trees soon, they should not be swept into gutters and streets.
