Coplay Public Library: Coplay Public Library holds storytime, crafts on Thursdays

Join us for storytime and crafts with Miss Veronica 11 a.m. today, Sept. 6. Children of all ages are welcome.

Storytimes will also be held Sept. 13, 20 and 27; no registration is necessary.

Free movie Saturdays are back! You’ll feel like you’re riding the trails beside John “The Duke” Wayne in “The Cowboys.”

The film will be shown 1 p.m. Sept. 15.

Like stand-up comedy? Wisecracker Comedy Club at Ramada Inn, 1500 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, is presenting a comedy night Sept. 22 to benefit the library.

Doors open 8 p.m., and showtime is 9 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the library or at the door.

Scrabble is 70 years old! Celebrate this milestone at game night, set for 5-7 p.m. Sept. 24. Even if you have never touched a tile, you are guaranteed to have fun.

Our experts will help you get started and provide tips. Regular or occasional players can challenge the experts!

Our fall book and bake sale is coming up quickly! The sale is 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 12 and 13.

While we do appreciate your donations, we no longer accept VHS tapes, textbooks, encyclopedias or Reader’s Digest condensed books. For your safety, we ask that you drop off your donations anytime while the library is open.

We will be participating in Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends event, scheduled for Oct. 16.

More information will be announced shortly.

Our November basket social will run Nov. 3-17. If you would like to donate a basket or items for a basket, you can drop off your items at the library.

Although summer will still be with us for a couple of weeks, school has started, and that means the library is now operating on its regular hours - 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Don’t forget to use the book/media drop container if the library is closed.
