State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-134th, will host veterans assistance hours in his district office 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Lower Macungie Township Administration Building, 3402 Brookside Road, Macungie.

During these special hours, veterans are able to meet with an outreach specialist from the American Legion to have questions answered about benefits and services earned.

“As a convenience and help to area veterans, I hold these special hours each month at my district office,” Mackenzie said. “I encourage veterans and their family members to make use of this service.”

Services available to veterans and their dependents include assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care, as well as any issues pertaining to veterans benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.
