EMMAUS POLICE
A 69-year-old woman, of Allentown, died Aug. 20 after the vehicle in which she was a passenger was in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Harrison and Dalton streets, according to law enforcement authorities.
According to a media release from the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensics Center, Mary Kocher died at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Kocher was pronounced dead at 4:52 p.m. The cause of death is attributed to multiple blunt force trauma and was ruled an accident, according to the coroner’s office.
According to a media release from Emmaus police, the collision happened at 4:10 p.m. Agencies involved in the investigation of the accident include the Emmaus Police Department, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office. A collision re-constructionist from the South Whitehall Township Police Department also is among those investigating the accident.
Emmaus Ambulance Corps transported Kocher to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
An 18-year-old female, no known address, was arrested Aug. 15 after she removed an item without paying for it from Turkey Hill Minit Market, 602 Chestnut St. A citation was filed, according to Emmaus police.

A 17-year-old male, of Emmaus, was arrested Aug. 14 for simple assault and harassment in the 600 block of Chestnut Street. Charges were filed in Lehigh County Juvenile Court, according to Emmaus police.
An unknown individual removed paver bricks valued at $75 from a location in the 100 block of South Sixth Street. The incident was reported Aug. 10, according to Emmaus police.
An unknown individual removed four tires, valued at $2,000, from a Toyota Venza at a location in the 300 block of Minor Street. The incident was reported Aug. 14, according to Emmaus police.
An unknown individual entered a vehicle and removed a wallet and contents totaling $30. The incident was reported Aug. 17 at Emmaus Community Park, 1401 Shimerville Road, according to Emmaus police.
A 44-year-old woman, of Emmaus, was arrested Aug. 18 for public drunkenness in the 1000 block of Broad Street. A citation was filed, according to Emmaus police.
A 17-year-old male, of Alburtis, was arrested for underage drinking Aug. 19 in the 1400 block of Chestnut Street. A citation was filed, according to Emmaus police.
