The Crazy Quilters Quilt Guild meets 7 p.m. at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. Award-winning quilter Joyce Hughes will present “My Journey into Quilting,” featuring art quilts created with fabric panels and thread painting. The Emmaus Public Library, 11 Main St., will host its annual Community Heroes celebration 6 to 8 p.m. to give residents an opportunity to meet and thank first responders. Representatives from the Emmaus police, ambulance and fire departments, as well as the Vera Cruz Fire Company from Upper Milford, will be on hand to give out information and answer questions.
