There will be a movie shown at Fullerton Memorial Park, 901 Jefferson St., starting 7 p.m. Aug. 31. The film will be “Paddington 2.” Food, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase starting 5:30 p.m.

The movie night is presented by Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce, Fullerton Memorial Playground Athletic Association and Mobile Technology Graphics.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Wounded Warriors.

The Lady PEEPS group of St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will have its first meeting of the new season 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18 in room 201. The theme is aloha spirit, and members will learn some Hawaiian culture as well as taste some tropical foods.
