Benefit event planned for Sept. 16

Rally Through the Valley

Crime Victims Council of Lehigh Valley Inc. will hold its 19th annual Rally Through the Valley motorcycle poker run and pig roast event 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 16 to benefit local victims of crime. The 60-mile lined route will start with registration and check-in at Nazareth Borough Park, North Broad Street, and will end at Lone Lane Park, 30 Lone Lane, Allentown. Following the run, riders will be treated to an all-you-can-eat pig roast and live music by Dynamic Duo 1-3 p.m.

Additionally, numerous door prizes and raffle baskets, donated by local merchants and businesses, will be awarded. A top prize of a $250 Visa gift card will be awarded to the rider raising the most pledges over $200. Cash prizes will also be awarded to the best poker hands.

To register, visit cvclv.org/rally. Registration is $25 per person, and anyone registering by Sept. 7 will receive a free Rally Through the Valley T-shirt and commemorative ride pin. Day-of registration is also available.

All funds collected at this event will benefit crime victims in Lehigh and Northampton counties who receive services from Crime Victims Council at no cost.

CVC is a private, nonprofit organization that has been dedicated to providing comprehensive services to all victims of crime and to reducing the risk of victimization for the Lehigh Valley community for the past 45 years.
