Grandstand show: The “Never Ending Summer” Tour, which began in July, kicks off the 2018 Great Allentown Fair Grandstand shows lineup, 7 p.m. Aug. 29, with Offspring, 311 and Gym Class Heroes. The Offspring, a punk rock band from Garden Grove, Calif., formed in 1984. The band’s lineup is lead vocalist, guitarist Bryan “Dexter” Holland, bassist Greg K., guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman and drummer Pete Parada (since 2007). In a 34-year career, the band has released nine studio albums. “Americana,” released in 1998, included “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)”, “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” the band’s biggest hit singles. The group has sold more than 40 million records. Its third studio album, “Smash,” released in 1994, sold more than 11 million copies. Its most recent album. “Days Go By,” was released in 2012.

Grandstand show: 311 is police code for indecent exposure in Omaha, Neb., where the band was formed in 1988 by vocalist and guitarist Nick Hexum, lead guitarist Jim Watson (replaced by Tim Mahoney in 1991), bassist Aaron “P-Nut” Wills, and drummer Chad Sexton. In 1992, Doug “SA” Martinez joined to sing and provide turntables. The alternative rock group has released 12 studio albums. Its third album, released in 1995, was its best-selling, with the singles “Down” and “All Mixed Up.” The band’s most recent studio album is 2017’s “Mosaic.” Gym Class Heroes, a rap-rock group from Geneva, N.Y., was formed in 1997 by lead vocalist Travie McCoy and drummer Matt McGinley. Guitarist Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo joined in 2004. Its first album, “ ... For the Kids,” was released in 2001. Its most recent album, “The Papercut Chronicles II,” was released in 2011.
