Northwest swim team was victorious over Northampton, 262-184, on July 18 at Northwest Swim Club.

Northwest swimmers who placed first are listed in order of each event.

Lora Flynn, Violet Whitley, Alyvia Herman, and Jaina Eisenhardt combined to win the 12 & U 200 medley relay in 3:09.37.

Brooke Sergent, Jackie Baker, Greta Stuckey, and Abby Mack won the 13 & O 200 medley relay in 2:18.30, and Ben Service, Sam Capwell, Seth Coleman, and Tyler Young won the same event in 2:17.74.

Elizabeth McClarin won the 8 & U 25 free in 21.62, and Julian Blunt won the same event in 23.06.

In the 13-14 50 free, Sergent was first in 30.51, and Milo Whitley was first in 30.86. Also in the 15 & O 100 free, Mack was first in 1:03.46, and Service first in 1:05.37.

“On events I care about like freestyle, I try to keep up with my times,” Whitley said. “Summer swimming, I don’t want to say is easier, but it’s more laid back. Sometimes it’s good not to have to worry that much, but it is fun to push myself and see how fast I can go.”

Herman won the 12 & U 100 IM in 1:30.25, and Corbin Eisenhardt also won with a time of 1:21.79.

The 13-14 100 IM was won by Elizabeth Flynn in 1:21.32 and Milo Whitley in 1:25.63.

Nicholas Muniz placed first in the 8 & U 25 fly in 27.92.

In the 13-14 50 fly, Sergent came in first in 33.40, and Milo Whitley came in first in 27.32.

Mack won the 15 & O 50 fly in 32.95, and Spencer Smith came in first in 29.92.

In the 8 & U backstroke, Elizabeth McClarin won in 25.12, and Nathan Blunt also won in 28.89.

Lora Flynn placed first in the 11-12 50 back in 45.61.

Other backstroke winners were Jeffrey Eisengardt in 13-14 with a time of 41.18, John Jones in 15 & O in 36.20, and Elizabeth McClarin in the same age group in 30.61.

Drew Daignault took first place in the 8 & U 25 breatstroke in 33.36, John Cornish won the same event for the 9-10 age group in 26.90, and Alyvia Herman won the 11-12 50 breatstroke in 44.86.

In the 13-14 50 breatstroke, Elizabeth Flynn was first in 41.43, and Jeffrey Eisenhardt was first in 44.68.

Sam Capwell won the 15 & O 50 breatstroke with a time of 35.74.

The meet ended with the 200 free relay won by Elizabeth McClarin, Alyvia Herman, Sergent, Mack and Lilah McClarin in 2:17.13, and Muniz, Corbin Eisengardt, Capwell, Milo Whitley, and Cornish in 2:21.75.
