The annual Night in the Country festival will get underway 4 p.m. on Aug. 18 at the Northwestern Recreation Commission Community Park, Northwest Road and Route 309, New Tripoli. Rain date is Aug. 19.

There is a suggested donation for adults and children under 12.

The clothing closet at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli, will be open 6-8 p.m. Aug. 9, and 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 11.

There are clothes for the entire family. Proof of need is not required.

Ebenezer will have its annual Rally Day Breakfast 9-10 a.m. Sept. 9 in Fellowship Hall.

Sunday School classes for all ages will be from 9-10 a.m. Sept. 16.

Jacob’s Church, Route 143, Jacksonville, Lynn Township, will have its annual community day event, now called Shinefest, from 2-10 p.m. Aug. 25.

There will be a tractor contest, several Christian bands, extreme inflatables, rock climbing wall, face and rock painting, hot dogs, hamburgers, homemade ice cream and a glow party.

All are invited to attend.
