Hokendauqua: VBS to start Aug. 13
Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St., will have Vacation Bible School 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 13-17. The program, “Shipwrecked - Rescued by Jesus,” is free and open to children from age 3 to sixth grade.

Mark your calendar for Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church’s 10th annual Wheels of Faith car show and craft fair. It will be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 18, with a rain date of 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 19, at the church, 3355 MacArthur Road.
There will be music by DJ Johnny D, a 50/50 drawing, a variety of homemade food, vendors and more.
Part of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Whitehall Food Pantry. Participants are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for a chance to win a gift basket.

There will be Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative community meals at the following Hokendauqua churches.

• First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, 3005 S. Front St., Oct. 16
• Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, Nov. 20
The free meals are guaranteed for the first 100 guests and will be served 4-6 p.m.

On Oct. 27, there will be a tour of the historic Thomas Iron Works area. Scheduled 11 a.m.-4 p.m., a bus will provide tours, and guides will talk about the history of Hokendauqua.
