Coplay Public Library: Enjoy Brit rock at the library
Our final summer music theme weeks are here.
This week we are celebrating British rock. The week of Aug. 13, we will finish with good old rock ‘n’ roll.

Our free Thursday storytimes for August will be 3-4 p.m.
The theme Aug. 9 will be Let’s Move Too, and Aug. 16 will be Let’s Sing Too.

Our Wednesday youth programs for kids and teens will continue 6-7 p.m.
There will be a program for children Aug. 15 called “Rhythm, Rhyme & Repeat.” The teen program “Sound: Body and Mind” is scheduled for Aug. 22.

Tickets are on sale for our basket raffle. The drawing will be Aug. 18.
There is a cost. You must be 18 or older to participate. All proceeds will benefit the Summer Quest program.

Our final free music movie Monday of the summer will be 4:30-7 p.m. Aug. 20. We will show “Mary Poppins,” starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke.
We hope you have enjoyed the movies.
Free movie Saturdays will return Sept. 15.

The Lehigh County Conservation District will be at the library 1-2 p.m. Aug. 23 to present a program “Buckets Full of Nature: Space Rocks.”
Stop in and enjoy the show - no preregistration is necessary.

Stop in and visit us at Coplay Community Days, Aug. 24, 25 and 26.
We will be selling tickets under the pavilion. We will also have a fish pond in the pool area for the children Aug. 25.

Game night will be 5-7 p.m. Aug. 27. Finish the summer by giving our Scrabble experts a run for their money.

The library is collecting historical memorabilia to display for the Borough of Coplay’s 150th anniversary celebration in 2019.
If you would like to loan any items to the library for the entire community to enjoy, please stop in and talk to a staff member.

The library’s summer hours are noon-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays; and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays. Regular hours will return Aug. 27.
