Woman’s Club of Whitehall Township has named Casey Cunningham, of Coplay, as the Girl of the Month for April.

She is the daughter of Timothy and Patricia Cunningham.

She received high honor roll in ninth grade and honor roll for the remaining three years.

Cunningham participated in SERVE Club, Leo Club, Debate Club, Model United Nations and was the committee co-lead for Homecoming. She played basketball, softball (captain) and year-round tournament softball and ran cross-country (captain).

She was a member of National Honor Society as well as the English, Spanish, Science and Math honor societies.

Cunningham received the Zephyr of the Year award, was the December Athlete of the Month in ninth grade and earned the Eye of the Tiger Award for cross-country in 10th grade.

She took 11 Advanced Placement classes and was part of Lehigh’s High School Scholars program in 2017.

Cunningham participated in miniTHON for three years. She volunteers at homeless shelters, the food bank and her church and with child care.

She’s worked part time since 2016 and currently works at Dunkin’ Donuts.

Cunningham plans to attend Penn State University’s main campus to study mathematics and continue with pre-med. She hopes to be a psychiatrist one day.
