LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Camp Cementon: Wet weather can’t stop the camp fun

During week six at Camp Cementon, students experienced a rainy week but were still able to make it an enjoyable one. Monday started off with a little bit of free time in the morning and quickly transitioned into indoor competitive games, such as Four Square, Silent Ball, Night at the Museum and more. Periodic breaks of no rain throughout the day led the campers to be able to enjoy an outdoor game of Pac-Man. After lunch time, the campers remained indoors to watch “Zootopia” and enjoyed popcorn along with the movie.

As Tuesday rolled around, the weather remained unsettled, but the campers were still able to enjoy a few outdoor games, such as dodgeball, Fastest in the West and Jump the River. The afternoon was spent indoors playing Four Corners and Wonderball.

Wednesday was a big day for our campers, along with Camp Jefferson students, as they headed over to Coca-Cola Park to watch an IronPigs game. The heat didn’t seem to bother the campers much as they enjoyed their favorite flavors of ice cream. The campers cheered on Collene S. as she threw the first pitch before the game. Way to go, Collene!

Thursday and Friday were both pleasurable days for our campers as the nice weather crept in, and many games - , including Ant Tag, Silent Ball and Hungry Giants - were played outside. The campers got to end their afternoons cooling off at the pool, where they splashed around with friends.

Week six Campers of the Week included Ava, Lilly and Chase. Great job!
